Salon Policy


1.General policy:

– We reserve the rights to refuse service to:

  • Anyone who is not in compliance with our policy.
  • Anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior towards our nail technicians and other customers.
  • Anyone with any health problem or nail condition we suspect may be contagious.

– Health issues must be stated before services are performed.

– The Modern Nail Bar team is not responsible for lost, misplaced, damaged, or stolen personal belongings. Please keep all valuables with you during your services.

– Please be responsible and keep an eye on your kids/children. We are not responsible for any damage done by them.

– The customer is responsible for any damage to equipment or goods.

– Pets of any kind, other than service animals, are NOT allowed in the salon.

– Smoking is NOT permitted.

– Appointments have a grace period of 10 minutes, and if late past 10 minutes, your appointment slot will be forfeited.

– There will be an extra charge for services with more than 3 colors.

2. Service satisfaction and warranty:

– We have a NO REFUND policy for all services. If you are not completely satisfied, please let us know at the time of your service or before you pay or no later than 48 hours after.

Matching: We cannot assure a perfect 100% match on sample designs or colors, as variations may occur due to potential fading in the color sample and adjustments made to the picture’s brightness and contrast during editing. Kindly address this with the nail technician before proceeding with the service.

Nail designs: There will be a $15 charge to remove the design. Please ensure to discuss this with the nail technician before they proceed.

Regular polish is not guaranteed, but we will touch up a chip within 24 hours of your service.

– We offer complimentary repairs for gel polish, dip powder acrylic, and designs for up to 5 days from the date of your original service. To schedule a repair, simply call our front desk and provide the date of your original service.

This warranty is void if:

  • The customer has the (artificial) nails serviced by another nail shop.
  • The customer works without gloves with harsh chemicals.
  • The customer has the artificial nails bitten or intentionally aborted.
  • The customer uses products other than those recommended by the nail shop for the maintenance of the (artificial) nails.
  • The customer has not followed the advice from the nail shop for the home care of (artificial) nails.
  • The customer neglects the advice to seek medical help.
  • The customer did not use the products according to the instructions.

3. Maintenance:

– Clients should expect nail extensions to gradually wear off over time. Extensive exposure to water or cleaning chemicals increases the likelihood of lifting of the nail extensions.

– We recommend nail enhancements or refills every 2-3 weeks to fill in the space created by the growth of your natural nails. The duration of acrylics can vary from one person to another. Nevertheless, experts advise that you should never go beyond 3 weeks without getting a fill and nail treatment. This helps to relieve the pressure from the lifted expansion on your natural nails and can also lower your risk of a fungal infection. 

4. Payment:

– We will NOT accept any Checks and American Express.

– Payment under $10 will be increased by $1.

– Gift cards will expire after 6 MONTHS from the original date of purchase and are non-refundable

– Gift cards/vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, nor will cash be exchanged for unused balances. 

5. Complaints:

If the customer has a complaint about the service or product, it must be reported as soon as possible but no later than within 3 working days after discovery, in writing email or by telephone, to the nail shop. Modern Nail Bar must provide the complainant with an adequate response within 3 working days. If a complaint is justified, the nail shop will perform the agreed-upon treatment again.
